Columbus, Ohio– Ohio Democrats have launched StateOfficialTwo.com, highlighting their newest senator’s long-standing history of corruption and involvement in the biggest scandal in our state’s history. While State Official Two may have been handed a get-of-jail free card from State Official One, Democrats won’t stop holding them accountable.

Under DeWine & Husted’s administration, Ohio has been recognized as the most corrupt state government in the United States. While Husted’s wealthy friends padded their own pockets, Ohioans were stuck with the cost of his corruption. StateOfficialTwo.com unpacks how our newest Senator, who has been called a “good friend of FirstEnergy” was at the heart of it all. 

StateOfficialTwo.com will continue to be updated as more information comes out about Husted’s involvement with FirstEnergy. Just last week two FirstEnergy executives that boasted deep connections to Husted were indicted on federal charges. Husted’s still not saying if he knew about dark money contributions from FirstEnergy in support of his campaign.

“The trail of evidence that links Jon Husted to our state’s largest corruption scandal in history makes it painfully clear that he only works for the highest bidder,” said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer. “Ohioans deserve answers from their senator- but we’re not holding our breath. Instead, Democrats are going to make sure voters know that Senator Husted isn’t working for them.”
