Columbus, Ohio- There’s 60 days to go until the 2026 gubernatorial election, and Vivek Ramaswamy is busy spending Labor Day Weekend watching the U.S. Open after taking his private jet to New York. It’s unsurprising for Ramaswamy, who has spent nearly 40% of 2026 outside of Ohio. Just four days ago, Ramaswamy said it was “rare” for him to leave the state.

“Is Vivek Ramaswamy serious? There’s only 60 days until Election Day and Ohio voters are facing an affordability crisis. Instead of talking to voters who know his scam policies will raise costs for our state, he fled to his favorite city with his fellow billionaires at the U.S. Open after flying his private jet to NYC,” said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer. “Back home in Ohio, there’s no love lost for Vivek Ramaswamy.”
